Keeping the Sabbath Day Holy

No, I was not doing this on the Sabbath, it is what I went through to get our sod completed before the Sabbath. When they first delivered on Tuesday it was the wrong kind of grass, so they had to come back on Thursday. This obviously put us two days behind. It should have been all done by Friday, but instead we were only about half done by then. Saturday morning we got to work and the first hour or so was fine. Then the winds started to really pick up and then the downpour. I spent the rest of the day laying sod in the rain. I had to buy a rain suit to be able to keep working. I'm sure the hot thirsty grass enjoyed it.

Rhonda got completely soaked. And so did the ground. It became too soft to push the wheel barrow of sod over and I had to stand on boards to not ruin the soaked grass so Rhonda got out of laying sod for the rest of the day.
If you look closely you can see one of the news papers that was floating down the street. It was rather funny to watch them go by.

You guys are just too funny. Look at that great new outfit - really stylin' Robb. The lawn is looking really nice even if you both got soaked.

Wes' dream is to lay sod! Looks like a fun day in all honesty.

How fun! Did that bring you back to your days as a young kid playing in the rain or what?

You look good in yellow, Robb!

You two are so awesome--I hope it's the most beautiful grass in the neighborhood as a reward for your valiant efforts to keep the sabbath day holy. You have my prayers on that!

Wouldn't it have been okay to do it on Sunday? You know, since the Robb was in the mire.
