The Injured One

You asked for them and here they are. 

This is the day after her accident, she wouldn't let me take pictures when her lip was huge and swollen. You can still see it's a bit swollen and bruised.  Her glasses got scraped up also, on the bridge and one of the lenses.  I think she's very lucky her nose isn't broken also.
All her injuries and going to the Dr. completely wore her out. I suggested she take a little nap, but she said,"Mom you know I'm too old and don't take naps anymore." I suggested she just lay down for 15 minutes and rest. We woke her up 4 hours later for dinner. She said she was still tired, so she went to bed right after she ate. She felt much better the next morning.

This is today. (4 days after) She's feeling much better. We're pretty sure she'll be getting this cast off and a long arm cast put on. It just hurts so much when she barely rotates her arm. The infection in her knee is getting better :)  

She said that when she gets all better and gets her cast off she is going to do EVERYTHING by herself. She really doesn't like asking for help constantly. Hopefully when she gets the long arm cast she could at least use her fingers.  She is making progress though, she can now put on her buckle in the car by herself. I'm very proud of her though because she always tries by herself before she asks for help. And she's constantly saying sorry for "always bugging me" as she puts it. Kaylah is being great and always wants to help.  After church she said that she doesn't ever want to have to explain what happened again.
