Kaylah's Texas family party
We have a long family tradition, dating all the way back to Kristana, of giving scriptures for the kids' 8th birthday. We've done it for every kid since Kristana, so with Kaylah being the youngest, she is the last kid to receive hers. :) Kristana has burgundy scrips, Rhonda's are blue and I have a brown set (pretty worn from my mission) and a new blue set. So with black and dark green left to choose from, we thought she'd like the green. Turns out it was her color of choice among all that are available!
Friends in our ward, the Belangers (she, Erin, is also one of Rhonda's visiting teachers and a fellow home schooler) decided to throw a surprise party for Kaylah. She did everything, party favors and all, we just had to show up! She also did a gluten free cake for Kaylah (both of Rhonda's best friends make gluten free food for them whenever we get together for dinners and parties). We're treated very kindly out here.
