Red Poppy Festival

Yesterday we went to the Red Poppy Festival in Georgetown. It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun. While Robb was getting things set up and doing sound checks with the band the girls and I went to the kid zone. They had a giant blow up slide (which the girls went on twice), a bounce house, mini train ride, and a few other things but this bungee race was their favorite. You are harnessed to a very strong bungee cord then have to race down your lane and see who can place their marker the farthest. It was so funny to watch the teenage boys because they would get pulled back so hard that they would flip several times. One time a boy almost flipped into the other lane. I wish the workers would have gotten out of the way so I could get better pictures.

When the kids area closed we walked around and looked at some of the vender booths. Then we got to watch Kori and the band play on a really big stage. It was a fun show. I wish we could have stayed to watch Little Texas, but they weren't going on until 9:30. After the show the girls asked if they could get their pictures with Kori. I thought it was funny and cute since they see her all the time, but I guess it's because they see so many other people getting pictures with her after shows.
