Week before last we had thunderstorms for part of every day for 9 days. A couple were fairly strong. A lot of downed branches, trees, a trampoline blown into the middle of the street (not ours!), etc. The bridge to my employees' house was closed for three days due to the creek overflowing it.
The first bad storm produced this unnerving sight out the back window of our house. Notice the swirling clouds working their way downward? It never worsened, but produced strong wind. When it got to my office 9 miles away it downed a power pole, two trees and nearly blew two large, heavy extension ladders off my truck. They were held by a strap on one side, but were completely turned on their side, 90 degrees to how they'd been laying. I couldn't believe it.
